Dire Dungeon Environments v1.1 release
Decorations Update
New Content
This update adds a whole slew of decoration sprites that can be layered on top of the floors. Some are meant are purely decorational, others are supposed to block movement.
- Castle Dungeon:
- 28 new decorations, ranging from spiked barricades over torture equipment to a rare rat king.
- 1 pitfall floor tile
- Loam Caverns:
- 28 new decorations, ranging from giant mushrooms, over ominous idols to mossy overgrowth
- Added mossy overgrowths to many wall tiles to add some color
- 1 pitfall floor tile
- Snake Temple
- 28 new decorations, ranging from snake skeletons, over sacrificial altars to stone tablet cabinets
- 1 pitfall floor tile
In addition several tiles have received minor touch-ups to increase readibility.
Price Increase
I added much more tiles than I initially planned to do and thus I feel the asset pack has crossed a threshold that warrants a price increase from 5$ to 10$. Maybe I also underpriced it initially.
I feel this new price point is fair and also can fit in future content updates.
Plans for the Future
I have plans to keep developing my tilesets, for these I imagine water tiles would be a great addition. They could be used as negative play space that isn't blocking sight, they could be used for knee-deep water gameplay and they would add a lot more visual interest to the scenes. Let me know what you guys would like to see!
Oh, and there might just be another tileset release from me around the corner... I have actually spent most of my time in the pixel mines creating an item set and the assets are all done. I just need to create the store page...
Thanks for hanging in!
